Adam Paddock Concert Review: NYC - Mercury Lounge (Setlist Media)
“The room was filled with lots of fun and dancing, and from the start Adam made sure that the crowd’s participation was strong. As an introduction, he states, “I am Adam Paddock, we are Adam Paddock, and by the end of this, you all will be Adam Paddock, too!” The band’s chemistry was fantastic and only added to the set, which was filled with good storytelling and tidbits about specific songs… Adam’s vocals were strong throughout, and he added covers of “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon and “Yellow” by Coldplay to the setlist, both of which suited his voice so well! Despite some technical issues mid-show, the crowd’s energy never faltered, which is a testimony to Adam’s ability to keep everyone engaged and the professionalism of the band to get the show back on track. When it came time for the title track of the album and tour, “Sweet Ohio Light”, the room exploded with happiness, and the pride of the band’s friends who made it out to the show was an almost tangible form. The set closed with a gorgeous ballad called “Milky Way”. The Sweet Ohio Light tour is the band’s first (and independently booked at that), but you could never tell.”
